Position Title: Sr. Systems Analyst – Production Planning

BASIC OBJECTIVE
Specific Job Content: This specific job is primarily related to the development and support of systems related to Production Planning with a specific emphasis on Supply Chain Management. SAP experience is required. The candidate’s role will be to implement and maintain best business practices and supply chain management principles at all business units. The candidate should have a minimum of 4 years of experience in either information technology, manufacturing, purchasing or supply chain management. The ideal candidate will have IT experience in addition to applicable business experience.
General Objective: Design, implement and maintain computer systems and programs to increase business effectiveness, solve problems and create new opportunities to assist in achievement of business goals. Prepare systems and program specifications, test criteria, project control and management reporting. Create software through coding and/or configuring. Develop and monitor policies, procedures, and standards documents. Provide 24X7 on-call support of systems. Write and execute scripts to control the execution of systems. Operates under general direction. Works with user management and user project leader to determine system objectives and solutions. Some latitude for independent actions and decisions. Assist and/or be solely responsible to direct, schedule, motivate and coordinate the activities of IT, user and vendor personnel. May act as a mentor to lower level Systems Analysts. Provide updates to Change Management team. This position represents a high level of demonstrated competence in the design of systems and coding of programs. Often personnel in this position receive an assignment as the systems project leader for specific projects. The ability to read, write, and speak Mandarin, French or Mexican Spanish is a strong plus.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Functional Skills:
1. Provide spirited, positive leadership of systems projects. Challenge obsolete practices; question accepted truths. Develop practical systems scope that enhances the business function. Control the project scope, resources, and quality within budget and schedule to meet objectives.
2. Provide analysis, counsel, and direction to management and personnel of operating units to analyze problems and develop solutions, as well as assure efficient operation of existing systems and programs. Maintain an understanding of business processes and the implications of computer systems on these processes.
3. Assist or solely direct, schedule, coordinate, and evaluate the efforts of IT user and vendor personnel assigned to a specific systems project.
4. Provide inputs for project review meetings and management presentations, including general design review, project scheduling, test plan, system and program tactics and methods, system controls, procedures, documentation, and system implementation plan.
5. Prepare and publish systems project status reports. Comply with Systems Development standards, procedures, guidelines, priorities, and schedules.
6. Develop detail system and program specifications. Develop system documentation and user procedures. Write computer programs. Prepare test data. Coordinate/perform system and program testing. Coordinate/perform system and program implementation and modification. Research systems and programs to determine causes of failure or poor operational performance; then define, test, and implement detailed solutions.
7. Participate in educational programs and professional societies involving analysis, leadership skills, computing technology, and systems methodologies.
8. Conduct educational programs involving company personnel relating to computing technology and specific projects.
9. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Supervisor Relationships:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
1. Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Business, Supply Chain or related field required. Under some circumstances Associate Degree in Information Technology and minimum 5 years experience will be accepted.
2. 4 – 5 years systems and programming experience.
3. The ability to read, write, and speak Mandarin, French or Mexican Spanish is a strong plus.
